June 19th, 2008: Buck's Rock Camp
Off to teach at Buck's Rock Camp for my ninth summer in ten years. It's my home away from home, my other family. See you all in august when I will be back tofinish the Sloop Club Mural, the rest of the Cafe Maya murals, possibly a project for Villiage Academies, a private residence in Clayton, CA, and others.
June 19th, 2008:
This mural in progress is 15' high by 10' wide, and currently being painted at Beacon Studios in Beacon, NY, to be eventually hung on a building on Main Street in Beacon. It is being partially funded by grants from the Dutchess County Arts Council and The Puffin Foundation. Stay tuned, word is that Pete Seeger is going to do a benefit concert this summer to raise money for the mural!

June 18th: Murals for Cafe Maya in Wappingers, NY
I was commissioned to complete a series of panels for the new Cafe Maya in Wappingers, to cover up windows from a previous incarnation of the former restaurant. I designed the five panels to look like carved stone glyphs, matching the stone already there. I have one more project to complete for the restaurant.

June 16th, 2008:
Beacon Community Center Maze
The BCC commissioned me to paint a maze for the kids and other people who make use of their facilities. The design was borrowed from a Tohono O'Odham nation maze design. More info about the maze design here.

May 18th, 2008: Electric Windows
See Electric Windows site for details here.

May 17th, 2008: Beekman Banner Project
Banners representing many Beacon artists have been placed along Beekman Street in Beacon, NY, where I live. Each banner is approx. 11 feet high by 4 feet wide, and will be up for two years. Their intent, other than to give local artists some expMain Street shops and galleriesosure, is to act like "breadcrumbs" leading visitors from the train to Main Street shops, galleries and restaurants.
